8' Wide Wessex Summerhouse
Hallmark's Wessex Summerhouse is a traditional style summerhouse featuring a shady 70cm deep open verandah, an opening window on one side (which can be positioned on either side of the building), two double fixed windows on the front, and fully glazed double doors with antique style hinges and door handle. The Hallmark Wessex summerhouse is manufactured by Walton Garden Buildings who are Britain's largest manufacturer of timber garden buildings. It is available in 3 popular sizes -
8x8, 8x10, and 8x12, all of which are 8ft wide (only the length from front to back changes).

Quality Construction
All Hallmark summerhouses are manufactured using Pine from well managed sustainable forests. The manufacturer (Walton's) supports the FSC, and is fully committed to the concept of sustainability.
The Wessex is constructed throughout using tongue and groove timber, on the roof, walls and floor, please note that no chipboard or OSB has been used in the construction of the Hallmark Wessex summerhouse. Smooth planed framing (27x45mm) has been used internally, and is doubled at the corners for strength. The 2ft 4in deep verandah floor has slatted open spars to allow free drainage of standing water. Green mineral roofing felt is supplied to keep the roof watertight.

Maintenance and Preservative
The Hallmark Wessex summerhouse has been treated with a light brown factory applied base coat. The treatment used is water-based, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. Once your garden building has been installed, you should continue to maintain it with a good quality preservative every year or two (in accordance with the manufacturers instructions). This will ensure that your building will last for many years.

Doors and Locking System
The Wessex summerhouse is supplied with fully glazed double doors 1.18m (3ft 10in) wide. Black japanned antique ironmongery is supplied as standard on the doors and opening window. An antique latch is supplied with the doors.

Windows and Glazing
The Wessex summerhouse is supplied with an opening window on one side and fixed windows on the front next to the fully glazed door. This allows plenty natural light and ventilation. Heavy duty styrene (Perspex©) glazing is fitted as standard. It is very safe, and is stronger than it's equivalent in standard glass.

Straight-forward Assembly
These buildings are supplied in flat-pack form with comprehensive instructions. Installation should take about 3 hours. A firm concrete or paved base is recommended to make a sound job, although it can be installed on timber bearers if required. Only basic tools are required, and no professional experience is necessary. Whilst this is predominantly a DIY product, we can provide an INSTALLATION SERVICE throughout most of the UK if required.
