If you live in or around Tranent, you can have your very own email address that you can use always, and if you change your service provider you can re-direct the tranent.com email to your new address. You can even direct it to a hotmail, or gmail  address.

for example 

Michael Johnston's current email address with his broadband provider is johnston.michael762@fastmail.net, but he is soon moving to BT. His new email address will be MichJohn1974@btopenworld.com and he will have to tell all his friends and family his new email, and change his online services. With a tranent.com email he would still keep the BT address, but he can also use the much better mike@tranent.com, email address. His friends will always remember it, and he won't need to amend any details with his favourite websites. He could also take a one for his taxi business, such as taxis@tranent.com. Even if he moves to a new service provider (even a web-based host), he can redirect his tranent.com email to his new address.
